A unique venue to hire, set within Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The Discovery Centre offers the perfect place to host your special event.
Whether you’re hosting a special celebration, corporate brainstorm or a community gathering, we can provide a bespoke setting that's right for you.
The River Room
An intimate space for up to 25 guests, boasting a floor to ceiling window with unbeatable views of the River Rother and the golden dunes of Camber Sands. It's often the best spot for some seal watching too.
The Layton Room
Perfect for bigger groups of up to 40 guests. The floor to ceiling window fills the room with light and offers first-class views of the river flowing into the sea.
If you have a larger group, both rooms can be hired to accommodate up to 60 people.

The Lime Kiln Café can support you with catering, whether it's a selection of freshly-made sandwiches, soups, sharing platters or our delicious cakes. We also have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Both of our rooms offer a fully accessible space with:

Prices for room hire
River Room - £50 an hour, £150 for half a day, £280 for a full day
Layton Room - £60 an hour, £180 for half a day, £300 for a full day
We have special rates available for registered charities, so please ask about these when booking.
