A unique venue to hire, set within Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The Discovery Centre offers the perfect place to host your special event.
'River Room' Exhibition Space (max capacity 25):
An intimate space for up to 25 guests, boasting a floor to ceiling window with unbeatable views of the River Rother and the golden dunes of Camber Sands. It's often the best spot for some seal watching too.
- Half-day (9am - 1pm / 12pm - 4pm): £180.00
- Full day (9am - 4pm): £336.00
'Layton Room' Classroom (max capacity 40)::
Perfect for bigger groups of up to 40 guests. The floor to ceiling window fills the room with light and offers first-class views of the river flowing into the sea.
- Half-day (9am - 1pm / 12pm - 4pm): £216.00
- Full day (9am - 4pm): £360.00
If you have a larger group, both rooms can be hired to accommodate up to 60 people
The Discovery Centre offers a fully accessible space with:
- Flexible seating arrangements
- Free Wi-Fi
- Free use of whiteboard
- A projector with screen and audio for hire (£10.00)
- Flipchart for hire (£10.00)
- Free parking nearby
The Lime Kiln Café can support you with catering, whether it's a selection of freshly-made sandwiches, soups, sharing platters or our delicious cakes.
- Jugs of filtered water and glasses: Free
- Tea and coffee making facilities in the room: £3.25 per person
- Cake bites: £4.00 per person
- Breakfast (Croissant, pain au chocolat, bacon or cheese turnover) £3.90 per person
- Light lunch (sandwich platters, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, vegan options on request): £4.95 per person

Location
We are located close to Rye Harbour village, 2 miles south of the town of Rye. The Discovery Centre is a 5 minute walk from the public car park on a tarmac footpath.
Parking
General parking is available at the Rye Harbour village car park at TN31 7TY (no set fee but donations to Icklesham Parish Council requested)
Public Transport:
The Nearest Railway Station is in Rye (TN31 7AB), which is served by trains from Ashford, Eastbourne and Hastings. There is a bus service from Rye station to Rye Harbour Village.
